wanted to say how impressed I was with your packaging. I was
surprised at the small box but you do an EXCELLENT job of
packing plants so there is no loose dirt and the labels are
secure and I also appreciated that one plant was labeled
"dormant" so I knew not to worry that it had no leaves.
Other mail-order plant companies could really take a lesson

Your using the damp newspaper was perfect and your bold info on the box as to live plants caused the mail carrier to carefully put it in the shade by a side door. Loved it. Thanks for you help. As an east coast “gardenholic” who has been happily creating new garden beds for the past 15 years on a property called Just-A-Mere-Farm, I religiously haunt all of our local growers for new and interesting varieties. Up until the 1940’s Just-A-Mere-Farm was a 35-acre potato farm. 28 acres of field were sold off and it ceased being a working farm. Who knew that there were more than three varieties of Masterwort? The nurseries around here that specialize in the unique and different have a much more limited selection at considerably higher prices. know that I received my recent order for winterberry hollies
and that your packing methods were the best that I have ever
seen. Yours is now the standard by which I judge other on line
nurseries. The very next day, I received another holly order
from a competitor and every one of the plants had been thrown
out of their containers, damp dirt was spread throughout the
carton and worse, my invoice had not been packaged in a water
proof sleeve and thus was wet from being exposed to the damp
planting medium. This caused the ink to run, obscuring the
contents of my order. Most of the time, this is how I receive
most live plant orders. The worst offender (to me) is W____
F__, supposedly a premiere nursery that has been in business
for many, many years. I have never once received any plant
from them that wasn't almost destroyed in the shipping process
because of improper packing. When I made suggestions to the
shipping manager, she became extremely defensive and indicated
that I am the "only one" who has ever had trouble with the way
they pack and ship their plants. Hmmm. It's nice to be singled
out, but only if it's flattering and only if it's true. I
can't believe that I am the only customer with this problem. I
had to stop ordering from them. Hi, Just wanted to let you know that your shipment of 6
