A cultivar from one of our best natives. Pink flowers in clusters at the ends of long thin branches which can grow to be 12 feet long. Bright green glossy leaves. Excellent evergreen ground cover that does well in sandy and well-drained exposed sites, dry forests and clearings. Widely used medicinally by Indian tribes. Hosts butterfly caterpillars. Fruits are eaten by birds, small mammals, deer, elk, and bears.
