 From Spain, Portugal comes this interesting and attractive plant. A woody-based, twining climber or rambling ground cover with small heart-shaped, pointed, glaucous blue-green leaves. Abundant and fascinating purple funnel-shaped flowers followed by attractive ribbed seed capsules.

 This hardiest of the Dutchman's Pipes, from Siberia, Mongolia & NE China and has smaller refined heart-shaped leaves, greenish yellow flowers and especially decorative 'hot air balloon' shaped seed pods. Mature height only about 3'. More sun and heat tolerant than other Aristolochias.
