Lovely, sprawling, trailing plant for the front of the border, along a pathway or in the rock garden. Produces large, yellow, crepe-like flowers all summer long. Easy to grow. An old favorite the used to be known as missouriensis. Produces huge, up to 5'' across, paper thin, bright lemon-yellow flowers. Flowers last for many days. Very drought tolerant due to its deep roots.

Bears large 3'' wide pink to blush-pink, saucer-shaped flowers over a smaller plant. Not as potentially invasive as other selections. Excellent ground cover with its trailing habit. Recent 5-year long trial at the Chicago Botanical Gardens rate this variety very highly. It is 80%-100% covered in flowers spring to summer.

This wonderful introduction brings gold, silver and ruby to the garden throughout the growing season. The large shiny silver drought and sun resistant leaves are complimented by glowing ruby stems, tipped with huge delicious yellow flowers till fall. Plants spread to 2 feet. Cutting propagated from an outstanding seedling grown from seed collected in western Oklahoma by the 'Great Plants for the Great Plains' group of Nebraska.

Missouri Primrose
