A deciduous shrub that can grow to over 12 feet tall with a similar spread. They bloom in April, producing showy clusters of cream colored flowers, which develop into clusters of tiny buff colored seeds. These seeds are favored by numerous species of song birds. Ninebark loses its leaves in late fall, revealing an attractive bark and the reason for its common name.
