Strobilanthes dyerianus 'Persian Shield'

Persian Shield

The leaves shimmer with iridescence. Very dramatic, colorful leaves of purple, green and silver all season. Used as an annual and wonderful in large mixed containers. Heat tolerant. Persian shield does best in partial shade. Dies to the ground after frost, but may sprout back in spring in zone 9 and possibly in zone 8, especially if you mulch the roots.
