Fragrant Snowball

Fragrant Snowball gets the name from its pure white, 5 inch round flowers of breathtaking fragrance. This deciduous, bushy shrub then develops red and black fruits in early summer. The fall foliage color is reddish purple. Proper pruning pays with more flowers. Remove the largest, oldest stems, 1/3 of the total, as close to the ground as possible. Cranberry, Highbush

The highbush cranberry is a native shrub of easy culture which combines the advantages of edible fruit with year-round ornamental value. They flower in early to mid June, in clusters of showy white flowers. The fruit are very tart but perfectly delicious when prepared in a reasonable manner much like the true cranberry. Be sure to get the native American as the European variety (V. opulus) is not edible. Wonderful food source for wildlife.
