A fast-growing, clump-forming, charming plant with lilac-pink flowers held at the top of elegant stems. Very long bloom period. The leaves are long, narrow, strap-like, slightly fleshy and smell strongly of garlic when bruised. Charming in containers and long blooming. The garlic odor is useful as a pest repellant around pest sensitive plants. In it's native Africa the leaves and flowers are used for cooking.
