Abelia mosanensis Fragrant Abelia |
A hardy, fragrant Abelia!!! We found this deciduous species in Latvia so we know it’s hardy. Wonderfully fragrant, rich pink flowers. The fragrance is better than a Lilac! The blooms adorn this plant from late May to early June. The glossy summer foliage turns an attractive orange-red in autumn. We have never seen any tip dieback on this plant even in years when the other Abelia cultivars are killed to the ground. Very exciting!

Buddleia Lo & Behold 'Blue Chip' Butterfly Bush |
This plant is the first in a new series of miniature Butterfly Bush that stands only 24 to 30'' tall and forms a tidy mound. This remarkable plant does not need pruning or deadheading. It is also drought resistant and deer resistant. It can be used as a ground cover, low hedge or in containers. The compact size of these new cultivars is perfect for smaller gardens and the mixed border. They can also be used as a container plant in milder climates. Unlike older varieties, these cultivars will not overwhelm the landscape, and never develop the weedy, unkempt habit so typical of butterfly bush. Now even gardeners with limited space can attract butterflies and hummingbirds to their garden with colorful buddleia.
