Dill Bouquet Organic Dill |
SEEDS - Botanical Interests - Bouquet dill is the most widely grown variety. Early, large seed heads make it an excellent choice for pickling. Be sure to plant extra for the Swallowtail butterflies! Their caterpillars love dill. Bouquet dill is particularly good for pickling, and is wonderful on a variety of vegetables and lamb chops. Robust, but airy plants reach 30''-36'' tall. When to plant outside: Spring, after the average last day of spring frost. Successive plantings every 2 to 3 weeks until hot weather will assure a continual fresh supply of foliage and seeds. When to start inside: Not recommended. Dill does not transplant well. Special Germination Instructions: Seed requires light to germinate. Press seeds into soil surface and mist or water frequently. Bot: Anethum graveolens

Dill 'Dukat' Dill |
SEEDS - Renee's Garden - Dukat is an especially sweet and mellow dill bred in Denmark for traditional Scandinavian dishes. The fine cut, blue green leaves hold longer than other varieties. Use Dukat's aromatic fresh leaf fronds lavishly. Sprinkle on steamed summer vegetables, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, in mixed green salads and dressings, in sauces and, most deliciously, over grilled or poached salmon and other fish. Let some plants bloom to give nectar to butterflies and then harvest the pungent seed heads to season pickles. Bot: Anethum graveolens
