Peacock Orchids are pure white flowers with deep burgundy markings in the throat and have a delightful fragrance, especially at night. They make ideal cut flowers. They form an impressive large clump in a couple years. The sword-like leaves are about half as tall as the 3-foot flower spikes. Blooming in mid to late summer, this is a very worthwhile garden plant. Plant 5'' deep after soil has warmed. Previously; Acidanthera bicolor or A. murielae, Gladiolus murielae AKA: Abyssinian Sword Lily, Abyssinian Star, Fragrant Gladiolus.
